Shouting slogans like “Hands Off!” and “No Kings!”, millions have taken to the streets in recent months to express their rejection of Donald Trump’s disastrous policies.
These massive mobilizations have been the popular response to mass layoffs, deep cuts to state budgets for healthcare, social security, and other essential programs for workers; attacks on the LGBTQ+ community; immigration raids; and unwavering support for the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
Donald Trump, in his usual despotic manner, has targeted migrant and American workers, minorities, and the most vulnerable sectors of society. Yet, the mobilized masses have shown that he does not have a «free pass» to do as he pleases. Neither the deployment of troops nor Trump’s threats—backed by his allies—were enough to suppress the protests that continued to fill the main avenues across all 50 U.S. states.
The protests against Trump have spread to Berlin, Paris, London, Puerto Rico, and other regions. This undeniably positive development strengthens the broader struggle and serves as a powerful example for other parts of the world.
This is a crucial moment for workers and populations across the globe, who endure the aggression of U.S. imperialism—an empire whose rulers believe they are entitled to control every aspect of human life, putting the very existence of humanity at risk.
The cradle of global hegemony is now shaking, as coast-to-coast protests intensify. The recent bombings of Iran by Israel and the United States have only deepened the outrage, prompting even larger demonstrations against these attacks and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
